About

Hi, I’m Nancy and I like writing stories about history, love and science! I write in genres from historical romance to crime to short literary fiction. Anything that inspires me and wants me to put words to paper.

I’m a hopeless lover of all things Australian in origin – I’ll take them in any form, books, podcasts, tv or film.

When I’m not writing fiction, I work as a research scientist in entomology. Together with my partner Tony (the ideas man) I look after my adorable 9-year old, who loves stories as much as I do!

In 2020 I won the CYA conference adult fiction competition for aspriring writers for my manuscript ‘The Bridge’. I also finaled in three competitions with the Romance Writers of Australia – The Emerald, Selling Submission (first place) and Sweet Treats short story contest. I was a finalist in the 2019 Valerie Parv Awards and Runner Up in the 2018 Selling Submission competition. I have short stories published in a variety of genres.

I have stories published in two anthologies ‘An Easter Lily on the Somme’ in ‘Easter Promises: An historical anthology’ and ‘Miss Minnie’s Courage and Cupcakes’ in the Romance Writers Sweet Treats Anology ‘Cupcakes’. I’m involved in another historical anthology coming out in July 2021 – so keep an eye out!
